Prayer and Worship Ministries
Worship Ministry
The Worship ministry at Community Church exists to help people know and experience the touch of God, awakening their hearts to pursue Him with their lives. We want to help people experience God and develop a life of worship.
We believe worship not only takes place during a church service, but more powerfully, everyday in everything we do. As we offer to God the simple moments and activities of each day, we make our very life an offering of worship, allowing His presence to invade our lives. These are holy moments in which we encounter God and His manifest presence. As He fills us, it is our desire that others see His glory, worship Him and experience His presence also.
We worship together to enhance individual worship. We worship individually to live in the manifest presence of God. As we live in the manifest presence of God, we touch lives around us.
Prayer Ministry
Prayer goes hand in hand with worship. Our lives of worship blend into prayer as we talk to God about our lives, our families, our friends, our co-workers, our church, our city, our country and our world. Sensing the heart of God for the lost and the hurting motivates us to cry out for His mercy, His love and His power. The kingdom of God is advanced by purposed and persistent prayer. It will take believers, fueled by vision and armed with His authority to bring His kingdom and His will to “earth as it is in heaven”. This is our destiny in Him and our call to prayer.
Worship and prayer flow together as we intercede for our city. Worship is the perfect fuel for prayer. It is a common thread that brings the community of believers together. It is common ground for all of us as we stand together to pray for our city. We believe we are called to be the body of Christ, one body, that together we must pray and usher in the manifest presence of God. It is God’s presence that brings His power to save, to heal, to deliver, to set the captive free. We will actively be involved in unifying the body of Christ for prayer to see spiritual renewal in our city and region.
Serving Ministry
Worship experiences are enhanced by those who serve us. It takes many people serving in many roles to provide a warm, friendly, organized and God-filled atmosphere. We are served each week by greeters, ushers, vocalists, instrumentalists, sound techs, computer techs, communion prep, auditorium prep, decorators and intercessors. All of us working together makes beautiful music to God.
